My favourite thing that people do with their WOLs (and I say people fully including myself) is making them seem approachable and silly but within an instant they can go to devastatingly terrifying and intimidating. Like a predator lying in wait for a single misstep, a beast thats been allowing you to shepherd and taunt it before finally showing its power that cripples your attempts in an instant.
For Zekian, He is outwardly a very silly, very friendly cat. He is earnest and ready to help any who might need it. He cries at tiny things and is enamoured with his menagerie of mounts. He’s an Amnesiac who’d re-pieced his life together and made himself a large family who he is incredibly loyal to. He is affectionate to an extreme degree, both with his familial ties and romantic ties. He surrounds himself in people despite many warnings telling him that would make him an easier target, weaknesses left and right to take advantage of.
However sometimes there is something Other to him. A power that buzzes beneath the surface, exuding an oppressive aura. He stalks, an endurance hunter. Enemies will manage to scuttle away and yet he is always one step behind. Lingering in shadows, prowling and shepherding his mark, wearing them down inch by inch until he can claim his prize. For all that he plays up being just a cat, people forget that this cat is a Lion. A King, stocked with strength and the confidence to back it up. Coiled with the Power of Old, Primal Gods and Ageless Dragons.
Adding this comment to its own post because its GOOD
Especially the vibes of “is that even a person anymore” because to everyone else the WOL must seem like some apocalyptic disaster hiding in the skin of a normal being. All they can do is be grateful they seem to be on their side and desperately hope it never comes to a point where they change their mind.
Enemies hear of the WOL like a whispered fable, a mere man who has the power to fell gods and lay waste to entire squadrons of their best warriors with nothing more than a scratch. Half of them are convinced the WOL doesnt actually exist and is just some horror tale to scare new recruits straight until they come face to face with this tiny cat boy who feels like an inescapable void of steel-cold rage.
As something silly i like to think Kian is half unaware of the intimidation he has and keeps getting invited to various official meetings between the citystates only to be pulled aside by one of the scions like “you know they're using you as an intimidation tactic, right?” And Kian being completely confused to why HE would be intimidating like that because he puts a LOT of effort into being a silly approachable cat.
